Move In Day

I am back at the blog.  We will see how this goes with my full school schedule.

I moved into my dorm Wednesday to attend a retreat Thursday and help with Freshman Move In today.  I have been incessantly carrying futons and TVs and shelves up stairs  and lofting bed on top of dressers and desks.  Its exhausting, but a couple of hours ago I still had enough energy to attempt to get a little work on one of my rooms (4 of us are sharing 3 rooms).  My one roommate who is here and I wanted to get a carpet down in the middle room, which involved getting as much furniture as we could out of the room, putting the carpet down and moving stuff back in.  Unfortunately, we could not get all the furniture out, so we had to put half of the carpet down, move the furniture onto the carpeted part and then finish laying out the carpet.  In the process of moving the furniture from floor to carpet, we managed to break the shelves off of a desk.  I moved probably fifty pieces of furniture today, and the only one I break is my own.  I guess its better that way.

We did tear down some freshmen's curtains by accident, but that was really their own fault for deciding to change the configuration of their room after they had loaded stuff into their desk and dresser, making them exponentially heavier.
